COURSE INFORMATION

Course Requirements:

·  U.S. Citizen who is legally allowed to possess a firearm.

·  Ability to demonstrate and employ safe weapons handling during course.

·  Intermediate Carbine Operator Course or proof of equivalent course by reputable instructor.


Course Overview:

This is an advanced course designed to enable effective tactical employment of a carbine.  Students will execute contextual shooting drills to validate skills within this course. Students will be trained on the following:

·  Firearms Safety

·  Mindset

·  Gear Setup and Considerations / Slings & Optics

·  Fundamentals of Marksmanship Review

·  Basic Ballistics Review

·  Optic Off set

·  Loading/Unloading Procedures

·  Malfunctions and Stoppages

·  Confirm BZO

·  Terminal Ballistics Demo

·  Engagement Methods

·  Firing Positions: Standing, Kneeling, Prone 

·  Target Discrimination

·  Multiple Threat Engagement

·  Transitions Drills

·  Barricade Firing and Improvised Firing Positions 

·  Support Hand Shooting

·  Movement: Pivots, Shooting on the move, Lateral Movement

·  Fire and movement

·  Live Fire Scenario: Casualty Extract, Active Shooter, etc.

·  Limited Exposure Engagement


Student Equipment Requirements:

·  Personal or assigned duty carbine w/ minimum 3 magazines 

·  Quality optic (not mandatory but highly recommended) w/owner’s manual

·  Quality sling (2 point highly recommended)

·  Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) 

·  500 rounds of carbine ammunition (minimum). No Steel Core 

·  Tactical Belt, chest rig, or plate carrier w/ 2 carbine magazine pouches (minimum)

·  Pistol w/3 magazines minimum (5 if single stack)

·  Tactical or CCW Belt w/ 2 pistol magazine pouches (minimum)

·  Pistol Holster (no paddle, SERPA or other holsters that use the trigger finger to release pistol). Holsters must provide retention to keep weapon in place while moving in and out of various positions.

·  100 rounds handgun ammunition

·  Durable but comfortable pants, long sleeve shirt (recommended), baseball cap 

·  Knee and Elbow Pads (optional, but recommended) 

·  Ballistic eye protection (clear lenses recommended) & hearing protection 

·  Weapons cleaning kit and lubricant

·  Notetaking gear

·  Food & Water

·  Inclement weather gear and sunscreen as desired


Cancellation Policy for Classes

·  Cancellations made MORE than 14 days prior to the scheduled class start time may choose between a full refund or a transfer of the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability. 

·  Cancellations made LESS than 14 days prior to the scheduled class start time may transfer the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability but will not be eligible for a refund.
